We'll
take you for a full day around Liverpool, taking time to visit all
of those important places in the lives of the Beatles.
We'll
see where Ringo, the oldest Beatle was born in the Dingle (left),
and then see Quarry Bank school where John formed the Quarry Men,
to where John and Paul met in July 1957 and off to Speke where Paul
and George lived and met and learnt guitar together. We'll then
see where George played his audition to join the Quarry Men and
onto Paul's home at Forthlin Road where he and John wroite so many
songs.
We can then visit the Liverpool Institute and Art College,
and the studio in Kensington where the Quarry Men first recorded
in July 1958. We then go to see where Paul made his debut at New
Clubmoor Hall, and then take up the story of The Casbah when the
Quarrymen reformed to open the first rock 'n' roll club in Liverpool
with a visit inside the club painted by John, Paul and George in
the basement of Pete Best's home: it is unchanged, and Pete's brother
Rory takes us on a personal journey through the real brithplace
of the Beatles.
We then pick up the story of the band, now called the Beatles
as they moved from the suburbs to the city centre and to The Cavern
Club where Brian Epstein discovered the band that would take on
the world.
We'll take you to The Beatles Story (see below) where you
will follow the story through memorabilia and a great exhibition.
We'll
take you to the homes, schools and famous places around the Beatles'
Liverpool, like Mendips
(below), Forthlin Road, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane, St. Peters
Woolton, The Art College and
